Rare three fold room dividing screen by artist Lynn Bogue Hunt circa. 1920

£0.00

A very rare example of a three fold room dividing screen by the American wildlife artist Lynn Bogue Hunt (1878-1960) who was known for his natural/countryside scenes - he often featured as an illustrator for many magazines and books.

Bogue ceased his art career in 1952 due to failing eyesight, retiring to his home in Long Island.

The screen features 18 individual prints of birds in their natural habitat and is in distressed condition, with severe damage to some of the prints (six with severe damage, 12 with moderate damage). The piece is very much worthy of restoration as only one other seems to have been made available on the open market in the past however it does retain a certain appeal in the distressed condition it is currently in.
