Large late Victorian straight line pond yacht circa. 1900

A stunning late Victorian large straight line pond yacht likely dating from the late 1890s to very early 1900s. 

The yacht is painted black to the waterline and maroon below, it features a lead weighted metal keel which renders it still useable as can be seen in some of the photographs. It sits upon a contemporary purpose made stand.

It has been semi-restored as it possesses more recently added cotton sails and rigging which do however have some age. 

Included is a photocopy of the auction listing from Philips Auctions where the boat was sold in 1998 with a guide price of £300-£600.
