Early Tunbridge Ware Queen Victoria Penny Red stamp box circa. 1860

£0.00

A scarce example of a Victorian Tunbridge Ware inlaid stamp box with a depiction of a young Queen Victoria Penny Red stamp in the centre. The box seems to be constructed in rosewood with all of the marquetry to the lid intact. There is some patination to the lid where lacquer has gone missing over time.

There is a loss to one piece of wood inside the box as can be seen in the photos but it cannot be seen when shut and does not make any difference to the function of the box.
