Samuel McLardy large clay pipe depicting football & rugby scenes circa. 1894

A fascinating large scale clay pipe depicting two sporting scenes - on one side is a depiction of a football match, on the other side a rugby match. Supporting the pipe bowl is a boot kicking a ball.

Stamped with the Registered Design number  241693 which is attributed to Manchester maker Samuel McLardy of 67 Shudehill Manchester who registered the design on 6th October 1894.

Overall condition is good aside from one chip to the bowls rim as shown in the images provided.
